Eric Tamashasky serves as a special investigator for the Sheriff’s Office and Prosectors Office. He will share with us his tips for Harvesting Digital Evidence: The Technical and Legal Boundaries. This presentation will cover how law enforcement agencies acquire digital evidence for a criminal investigation and the limitations imposed by technology and law, especially 4th and 5th Amendment protections. Examples include the requirements for a warrant, the difference between computer and phone information, and emerging technology.
